She has parents named Harvey Welker who is Native American and Julie Welker who is African-American. Her mother is an agent in real estate while her father is an engineer. Walker was educated at The Germantown Friends School (Germantown area) in Philadelphia, graduating in 1994. In 1998, she graduated with a bachelor's of arts diploma in the field of education at Harvard College. Welker, wed with John Hughes of Merck Philadelphia in Philadelphia is mother to two. In 2014 they began having an affair with one other. John her husband, who is four years her junior. Because their relationship was so prosperous, they chose to move on to the next step.
