Paula Patton is an actress and producer best known for her leading roles in the action film Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol and the drama film Precious. Her childhood was located at Los Angeles where she came from a middle class family. Her mother loved films and was able to instill the love of movies in her daughter. Paula became involved in many activities at school that were co-curricular, but she had an interest in drama. She was a member of her class as well as participated in school's plays. After performing in a variety of shows at her high school, Hamilton Magnet Arts High School, she decided to make acting her occupation. She was enrolled in The University of Southern Cal's summer camp, and loved tremendously. She won an award for a PBS 3-month assignment to make documentaries. As soon as she completed the three-month assignment successfully Her first assignment was working in the production department of television documentaries. Next, she was going to produce documentaries. Although she enjoyed her work, she yearned for being an actor. Her acting debut came by playing a supporting role in Will Smith's romantic comedy Hitch. Since then, she has been in numerous films as well as TV shows.
